HETIS SILVER ALGINATE is a non-woven antibacterial Alginate dressing extracted from seaweed with a combination of silver ions (silver concentration: 0.85 – 1.05% wt) to help dressing have antibacterial ability. Silver ions help to eliminate many types of bacteria while inhibiting the growth of bacteria on the wound bed.

– Broad bactericidal spectrum, high bactericidal efficiency, up to 99.99% with Staphylococcus aureus (yellow staph), Pseudomonas aeruginosa (green pus bacillus), Candida albicans fungus.

– The dressing has the ability to absorb a large amount of fluid and microorganisms in the wound fluid, 15-20 times the weight of dressing. When in contact with the wound, the dressing absorbs exdate and immediately forms a bio-gel film that helps maintain a moist environment and stimulates granulation tissue growth to promote wound healing. Thanks to the gel layer created, the dressing does not stick to the wound, making the patient feel comfortable and painless every time the dressing is changed.

– The dressing also has a hemostatic effect in small blood vessels by releasing calcium ions into the wound.
– The product is sterilized, each piece in a separate sterile bag.
– The products are available in different sizes, convenient for use.

Indications
HETIS SILVER ALGINATE is indicated for acute and chronic wounds, moderate to heavy discharge, wounds with a high risk of infection such as:
  • Postoperative wound.
  • Injuries due to trauma.
  • Diabetic foot ulcers, foot ulcers, pressure ulcers, etc.
  • Skin grafting area.
  • Partial burns such as 2nd degree burns.
Contraindications
  • Do not use in patients sensitive to alginate and silver.
  • Do not use for severe burns such as 3rd degree burns.
  • Do not use for wounds that bleed a lot.
Instructions for Use
  • Clean the wound bed and surrounding areas with a specialized solution.
  • Dry the wound with sterile cotton and gauze.
  • Choose the dressing suitable for each location, size and shape of the wound bed.
  • Remove the dressing from the package, then place the dressing on the center of the wound bed, making sure the dressing covers the entire wound bed as well as the surrounding skin.
  • Use a secondary dressing (film dressing or tape) to protect and secure the dressing.
  • Regularly follow the condition of the dressing and wound bed.
  • The frequency of dressing changes depends on the condition of the wound bed and the extent of the wound's discharge and as prescribed by the treating doctor (up to 7 days of gauze can be used).
  • When changing the dressing, if the dressing sticks to the wound bed, use physiological saline to wet the dressing before removing it.
Warning and Precautions
  • There may be an allergic reaction to the composition of the dressing in some patients.
  • Use with caution when using with tumors or wounds with exposed blood vessels because removal can cause bleeding.
  • The dressing may be stuck to the wouond bed if there is too little exudate in the wound bed.
  • Need to combine with a secondary layer dressing such as transparent film dressing or roll bandage to fix.
  • Do not use the product when the packaging is torn or damaged.
